In my absence…

March 20, 2012 in Arts and Music

So I took a little break during which I had block on any creativity. Fortunately my respite did me well and I caught some inspiration last week.

Below are some choice pictures that I took in the street. They are the result of gas on wet pavement and just at touch of sunlight.

Like Crazy – Felicity Jones, Anton Yelchin

November 17, 2011 in Arts and Music

Cameron and I just saw this movie and I love, love, love it. It is a throwback to the beginning of our relationship, the move to different countries and the struggle to keep things together. The authenticity of their acting apparently stems from the fact that they improvised many of the scenes.

I have a fondness for Anton Yelchin regardless. If you do not know him from the Showtime TV series Huffthen you must rent every season and indulge. Huff is still my favorite TV show. Yelchin plays the son of a psychiatrist and is one of the most intriguing TV characters I have seen. Not to mention, his name in the series is Byrd. Of course, he has continued on to do great work. Every time I see him in a movie I yell “it’s Byrd! yay Byrd!”

Just happened upon this NYtimes article about Felicity Jones, the other lead in Like Crazy. Turns out, she is quite an interesting woman. I particularly like that she brings her own clothing to the set because she has already decided on her character’s wardrobe. Look for her to be a force on the American screen and red carpet as she has already become in England.
