In lieu of not going to your wedding I have spent a lot of time looking at your pictures and reading about how you designed everything. I will admit to being a bit jealous of your creativity!

Laura, I have to give you our vegetarian gravy recipe! It's so good. I accidentally forgot to label it this year and several of our meat eaters took it on accident and didn't notice the difference. I secretly like it better than the regular kind. I should remember to post it at some point.

If you were to simply start running barefoot outside on the pavement you would probably find it very painful and not enjoyable - dangerous, unlikely. The theory behind the barefoot running movement is that it actually helps you avoid injury. If you can run comfortably with either a minimal shoe or barefoot on a soft surface (track or short grass) then there is no reason to think you would be prone to an injury any more than your usual set up.
Most people find that initially running in minimal shoes or barefoot is more difficult and they can run fewer miles. This is because you use different body mechanics and employ different muscle groups than usual. As your form improves, over several months, this will get easier.

Hi: are there people - say with flat feet like I do- for whom this method of running would not safely work?
