Men’s shoes: The Chukka

Originating from the word for each division in a Polo match the chukka is traditionally an ankle-length boot that is tied with a lace. They were worn by men fighting in the World Wars and subsequently became popular recreational shoes in the 40′s and 50′s.

In keeping with the rise in 50′s fashions trends for women, the chukka has made its way back into popular men’s dress. The benefit – a comfortable shoe that can be worn casually but in the right style formal enough for dressy attire.
